Vedh Krishnan: passionate and obsessed with math, computers/tech, teaching others, video games, commercial aviation, and golf

Listed above is my TEDx Talk called "Discovering a passion for STEM by persevering through academic challenges | Vedh Krishnan | TEDxLFHS." This was during my first year of high school. My talk was spoken by heart and there were no teleprompters! If you're not able to see the video above, click this link to go directly to it: https://youtu.be/n114wJT8ZNk?feature=shared.

Mathematics

Mathematics has been my passion, leading me on a journey of personal growth and academic achievement. In a matter of a couple months, I progressed from below average grade-level math to honors high school math, showcasing my dedication and hard work.

As a mathematics tutor at the Russian School of Mathematics and Schoolhouse.world, I eagerly share my love for math with others. Through tutoring, I help students gain confidence and understanding in math just as I did.

Mathematics unlocks endless possibilities academically and in the world around us. It is a universal language that describes everything from particles to galaxies. I am thrilled to assist others in developing their fluency in this language. Whether I'm working one-on-one or helping struggling students, I'm always excited to share my passion and support their success.

Things that I have been studying/studied already in this field academically

I also have a YouTube series called Understanding, Not Memorizing, where I attempt to create a series of videos explaining advanced mathematical concepts that students are often taught to memorize rather than understand. There are also tons of other math videos on my channel!

Created a new free book series called Coding Your Way Through Math. I plan to make four total volumes within the next two years. Check out the current released volumes - I plan to put these for free on Amazon soon with an option to get a paid hardcover version:

Computers and Technology

Growing up during the rapid evolution of technology since 2008, I've always been fascinated by its endless possibilities. From smartphones to virtual reality, technology has connected people, expanded our understanding, and transformed our lives. I believe it has the power to revolutionize society and I'm excited to be part of this evolving field. Whenever anyone has technology problems big or small, I always offer my immediate assistance whenever possible. My passion for tech has only grown stronger and I eagerly await the future it brings.
